Hi Angela
I am unable to attend the dinner. Do you know when you might need help for foraging?

Hi Maureen,
Thanks for offering to help with foraging!! We need dandelion flowers (whole flower head) to be harvested on Wednesday/ May 22nd – store in refrigerator and we can pick them up on Thursday. And the roots can be harvested at any time – they need to be cleaned, remove rootlets and stored in refrigerator. If you have time and are inclined to prep the roots for tea, please do the following: chop roots into large chunks, chop in food processor (corse coffee ground size), spread out on baking pan and roast in a 250 degree oven for 1 1/2 – 2 hours or until dark brown, cool and store in dry container. Do you have a chemical free area to harvest from? The leaves need to be harvested a few days before the event. We are looking at a harvest day in Ellison Bay Sunday morning June, 9th and Tuesday, June 11th. Feel free to call with any questions 920.868.5088.
